Types of SEO

We have now understood that SEO is the process of optimizing a website (making it easy for search engines and users to understand the website) to increase organic traffic. If SEO is done according to the guidelines, it is called White Hat SEO, and if it is done without following the guidelines, it is called Black Hat SEO. So, basically, there are two types of SEO:

White Hat SEO

It refers to SEO techniques that are in accordance with the SEO guidelines set by search engines. This means that it uses approved search engine optimization techniques to improve the ranking of a site on search engine result pages (SERP).

Unlike Black Hat SEO, it focuses primarily on human audiences as opposed to a search engine. People who are looking for long term investment on their websites rely on white hat SEO techniques. Examples of White Hat SEO include quality content, internal linking, link building, site optimization, social media marketing, Google advertising, and more.

Black Hat SEO

It refers to SEO techniques that are not in accordance with the SEO guidelines set by search engines. These techniques exploit the weaknesses of search engines to achieve higher rankings for websites on search engine result pages (SERP).

It mainly focuses on search engines and not human audiences. People who are looking for quick financial returns on their website instead of long term investments use Black Hat SEO techniques.

Sometimes, it can give quick results, but only for short periods, and it will have the opposite effect over time, for example, it can lower your ranking and blacklist you by search engines. Examples of Black Hat SEO include keyword stuffing, duplicate content, cloaking, hidden content, thin content, doorway pages, link pouches, etc.

Suitable for those looking for a long term investment. People looking for quick financial returns prefer Black Hat SEO
It focuses on the optimal use of keywords in the title, meta tag, and body of content. Keyword density is increased to achieve higher search engine rankings.
